Where they meet and flow past each other, the bands&#8217; interactions produce many eddies and swirls.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">\u305d\u308c\u305e\u308c\u306e\u7def\u5ea6\u306b\u3042\u308b\u5e2f\u306f\u96a3\u540c\u58eb\u306e\u5e2f\u3067\u6bd4\u8f03\u3059\u308b\u3068\u3001\u7570\u306a\u308b\u901f\u5ea6\u306e\u5927\u6c17\u306e\u6d41\u308c\u3068\u3001\u7570\u306a\u308b\u9ad8\u3055\u306e\u96f2\u3067\u3042\u308b\u3053\u3068\u304c\u5206\u304b\u308a\u307e\u3059\u3002\u305d\u306e\u5e2f\u540c\u58eb\u304c\u3076\u3064\u304b\u3063\u305f\u308a\u6d41\u308c\u904e\u304e\u308b\u969b\u306e\u76f8\u4e92\u4f5c\u7528\u3067\u305f\u304f\u3055\u3093\u306e\u5927\u5c0f\u69d8\u3005\u306a\u6e26\u3092\u751f\u3058\u3055\u305b\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The northern polar region of Saturn is dominated by the famous hexagon shape (see PIA11682) which itself circumscribes the northern polar vortex \u2013 seen as a dark spot at the planet\u2019s pole in the above image \u2013 which is understood to the be eye of a hurricane-like storm (PIA14946).<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">\u571f\u661f\u306e\u5317\u6975\u306b\u306f\u6709\u540d\u306a\u516d\u89d2\u5f62\uff08PIA11682\u53c2\u7167\uff09\u304c\u3042\u3063\u3066\u3001\u305d\u308c\u81ea\u8eab\u304c\u5317\u6975\u306e\u5de8\u5927\u306a\u6e26\u3067\u3082\u3042\u308a\u3001\u753b\u50cf\u306b\u898b\u3048\u308b\u571f\u661f\u306e\u5317\u6975\u306e\u6697\u70b9\u306f\u3001\u30cf\u30ea\u30b1\u30fc\u30f3\u306e\u4e2d\u5fc3\u306e\u76ee\u306e\u3088\u3046\u306b\u3082\u898b\u3048\u307e\u3059\uff08PIA14946\uff09\u3002<\/span><\/p>\n<p>This view looks toward the sunlit side of the rings from about 20 degrees above the ring plane. The image was taken with the Cassini spacecraft wide-angle camera on Sept. 5, 2016 using a spectral filter which preferentially admits wavelengths of near-infrared light centered at 728 nanometers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">\u3053\u306e\u753b\u50cf\u306f\u3001\u571f\u661f\u306e\u74b0\u306e\u9762\u306e\u7d0420\u00b0\u4e0a\u65b9\u304b\u3089\u3001\u65e5\u306e\u5f53\u305f\u3063\u3066\u3044\u308b\u65b9\u5411\u3092\u898b\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002\u3053\u306e\u753b\u50cf\u306f\u3001728\u30ca\u30ce\u30e1\u30fc\u30c8\u30eb\u306b\u30bb\u30c3\u30c8\u3057\u305f\u8fd1\u8d64\u5916\u5149\u306e\u6ce2\u9577\u306e\u30b9\u30da\u30af\u30c8\u30eb\u30d5\u30a3\u30eb\u30bf\u3092\u4f7f\u7528\u3057\u305f\u30ab\u30c3\u30b7\u30fc\u30cb\u642d\u8f09\u306e\u964d\u683c\u30ab\u30e1\u30e9\u3067\u30012016\u5e749\u67085\u65e5\u306b\u64ae\u5f71\u3055\u308c\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The view was obtained at a distance of approximately 890,000 miles (1.4 million kilometers) from Saturn. Image scale is 53 miles (86 kilometers) per pixel.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">\u64ae\u5f71\u5730\u70b9\u306f\u3001\u571f\u661f\u304b\u3089\u7d04890,000\u30de\u30a4\u30eb\uff08140\u4e07km\uff09\u306e\u8ddd\u96e2\u3067\u3059\u3002\u753b\u50cf\u89e3\u50cf\u5ea6\u306f1\u30d4\u30af\u30bb\u30eb\u3042\u305f\u308a53\u30de\u30a4\u30eb\uff0886\u30ad\u30ed\u30e1\u30fc\u30c8\u30eb\uff09\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Cassini mission is a cooperative project of NASA, ESA (the European Space Agency) and the Italian Space Agency. The Jet Propulsion Laboratory, a division of the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, manages the mission for NASA&#8217;s Science Mission Directorate, Washington. The Cassini orbiter and its two onboard cameras were designed, developed and assembled at JPL.
